Rain
In the event of rain, practice will be held as usual
Thunder and/or Lightning
In the event of thunder and/or lighting, practice will be delayed and/or cancelled. Thunder/lightning pool closures are determined by the lifeguards on duty using either the Eagle Harbor weather detection system or the lifeguards hear or see lightning/thunder. Once dangerous weather is detected, the minimum wait time is 30 minutes. Be prepared to have waits longer than 30 minutes.
If practices are cancelled or delayed a text message will be sent using: The Heja App (available for free download in your phone's app store.)
Weather & Swim Meets
Swimmers are required to have a certain number of swims at regular meets in order to swim at championships, so we try to cancel as few swim meets as possible. This means the meet may have a delayed start or a weather break in the middle of the meet. If you do not receive a text informing you of delays/or cancellations, always assume that start times have not changed.
